Business Aid For Haiti

Willliam Loiry founded Equity International with the belief that all companies can and should not only generate revenue but make a positive difference in our society and our world. William Loiry applauds the following corporations who have generously donated aid following the earthquake in Haiti:

3M

$1 million in product donations to Project Hope and MAP International, plus one-to-one matching of employee cash donations to the American Red Ross or CARE.

Abbott$2.5 million is being provided in grant funding and donations of critical pharmaceutical and nutritional products to humanitarian aid organizations.

Carnival Corporation
$5 million to UNICEF, the University of Miami's Project Medishare, American Red Cross, and Save the Children.

Coca-Cola Foundation
$1 million to the American Red Cross.

Deutsche Bank
Deutsche Bank's Global Markets Equity group raised $4 million for Haiti disaster relief through its commitment to donate 100% of its January 15, 2010 net U.S. agency equity trading commissions.

FedEx
$2.5 million, including $1 million to the American Red Cross and $500,000 to the U.S. Fund for UNICEF.

Medtronic Foundation
$1 million, comprised of $750,000 in Foundation grants directed to the rebuilding of healthcare infrastructure in Haiti, and Foundation employee matching donations of up to $250,000.

Motorola
Motorola, the Motorola Foundation, and Motorola employees have pledged more than $1 million in cash and in-kind products, including two-way radios, rugged laptops, and other equipment to assist relief agencies with on-the-ground efforts.

PepsiCo Foundation
$1 million, including $500,000 to the American Red Cross, Save the Children, and the World Food Program, and $500,000 to support longer-term rebuilding efforts designed to strengthen Haiti's infrastructure and limit significant damage from future disasters.
